I
had the delight of having my baby sister visit us all the way from
North Carolina, so we planned a trip to Seward, Alaska to experience an
Alaskan aquarium.
The drive down was and is always a
breathtakingly beautiful one. Meanwhile back in Anchorage it was cloudy
and raining, luckily Seward didn't get the memo. With clear skies and
mountains as far as the eye can see, we stopped several times to
sightsee and snap some photographs.
Anthony of course was more than excited to get out of the car to climb
rocks, collect pebbles, have his daddy protect him from the cold. Those
two together melt my heart, they compliment on another so perfectly. I
could never in a million years have dreamt of a better father for my
babies. His surplus of patience and energy despite how hard he works
everyday, never ceases to surprise me. The importance to him of making
time to spend with both Anthony and I when it would be easier to be
resting makes my eyes water.
Ok ok enough about me bragging about my man, there will be many more post about that in the near future...
The
Aquarium is in a small town near the water, seeing all those boats
reminds me of back home to Lake Norman. Anthonys favorite animals are
the ducks, penguins, puffins, every fish he sees (real or not) sea
lions, and seals.
I'm a day shy of being 21 weeks pregnant, and am officially
feeling movements especially late at night and early in the morning. We
may have a night owl or early bird in our hands; this mama hopes it's
not both at the same time!
We should be finding out the gender of our baby on Monday!
Until my next post
