My DIY shirred dress

Loooooong time no see!
Quick little update, fast forward 4 years, 2 more kids, 2 house moves and many beautiful memories. We are still living in Alaska. Alas it is our last year * insert broken heart here *

Ok enough crying, back to the dress!

I was a pattern tester to the loving Ana from Cocowawa patterns. This shirred dress was a definite for me. It's so straightforward and easy to make. A little bit time consuming but nothing a show on Netflix or a podcast wouldn't fix.

I've since made a hacked top version (literally hacking on half of the required fabric amount) and a dress. But I see many more in the future for me. I added small tie straps to the dress, and a ruffled bottom piece. Most importantly this dress has pockets.

Oh and the best part is, this dress was repurposed from a thrifted twin bedsheet. **Shout out to the little girl who outgrew these pink and white striped sheets, so a 20 something year old could make a breezy dress out of it.**

Until next time
